I absolutely love music. I am always listening to it, whether it is on the radio in the car, at home while doing work, or at the gym working out. I was thrilled to get the chance to review Manic Drive's newest album VIP! This band was relatively new to me- I had only heard one Christmas song by them, but I love discovering new music from groups I've never heard!

Holiday Gift Guide: Manic Drive's New Album VIP (and a Giveaway!)

About Manic Drive:

Manic Drive consists of brothers Shawn and Michael Cavallo and their friend Anthony Moreino. They have been recording and performing music as a group since 2005 and have released five albums, Reason for Motion, Reset and Rewind, Blue, Epic, and VIP.

Manic Drive has been widely known as a Canadian band who always delivers a great show, but over the past few years and project releases, they have added to their extensive touring of Canadian and US markets multiple Billboard Top 10 & 20 singles on CHR & Christian Rock Radio. Manic Drive is clearly very intentional about reaching their generation and inspiring them to pursue a deeper walk with Christ and to get involved in changing the world they are inheriting, and they are all uniquely equipped to do so. The band members, all in their early to mid-twenties, have made sacrifices to pursue God's call on their lives. Their life experience, spiritual maturity, and ministry have opened doors to speak into the lives of their own generation and that is perhaps the most defining characteristic of this group of guys.

My Review:

I really enjoyed this album! I love how upbeat it is- it's very encouraging to and it definitely makes you want to move and sing along! VIP starts out with Electric, the first song that absolutely has an electric sound. The rest of the album has a variety of sounds and influences and is very relevant and fresh; I think everyone will hear songs they'll enjoy. My favorite songs are King of MercyI Hide You Seek, and Song to Sing, a re-imagining of the hymns How Great Thou Art and The Old Rugged Cross, but all of the songs are filled with praise and truth about God's love and salvation. I love albums that allow me to worship and praise my Savior! I think VIP would be a great gift for a teen, young adult, or anyone who loves Christian music with a rock influence.
