Summer Family Fun At Six Flags America!!

Special thanks to Six Flags America and US Family Guide for sponsoring this post!

I love spending time with my family, but sometimes it's hard getting all our schedules to coordinate! One way we can all have fun together is by taking a day to have fun at Six Flags America. We have been at least once a summer for the past few years, and we always love it! We don't get tired of riding the rides, watching the shows, and having great fudge and funnel cakes!

This year, we're looking forward to going back again - and we hope to bring my dad with us! This will be his first time going with us, and it's a great opportunity for us to be all together, having fun and showing him all the best rides.

Right now, US Family Guide is offering a great coupon to give you $15 off each online ticket you buy! To see it, click here!

Six Flags America is in Mitchelville, MD, about an hour from Baltimore and half an hour from Annapolis. It's home to Superman: Ride of Steel: a huge coaster that's 20 stories tall and has more than a mile of track! Clocking in at over 70 mph, this thrill ride is impressive and very intimidating, especially to me! My brothers have both been on it and have loved it, though!

Brand new this year is the Bonzai Pipelines, six incredibly fast water slides that drop you 250 feet, twisting, turning, and screaming - sometimes in pitch black! - into six inches of water. It's bound to be a hit this summer!

Feeling hot? Want to cool off? Hurricane Bay is one of the largest wave pools in the country, sending out 4-foot-tall waves every 5 minutes or so! It's tons of fun, along with the other water rides and slides!

We've also enjoyed a great pirate stunt and fire show, great food (those funnel cakes!), fun arcade games, and some fun shopping, including an awesome candy shoppe that sells GREAT fudge!

Check out all Six Flags America has to offer by visiting their website here, like them on Facebook here, follow them on Twitter here, and follow them on Pinterest here.

I am SUPER excited to be going back to Six Flags America! My family is looking forward to making more great memories as we spend some great family time together!

Tips to make your trip the best it can be:

  • Try to go during the week - there's definitely fewer people than on a weekend!
  • Get there as early as you can - as close to opening time the better!
  • Watch your times - check the opening and closing times, especially if you plan to visit Hurricane Harbor and the water rides.
  • Get a park map - while it is fun to roam the park, it's also great to have a plan and know where things are!
  • Have a plan - look at the park ahead of time online, and pick out one or two rides you definitely want to try. That will help when you get in and are swamped with people, games, shows, and rides.

  • Blessings,
    Lina
